Warehouse Associate - receiving and put-away (Detroit, MI)

Westbrook Quarry Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Detroit. We are hiring a Warehouse Associate to take on receiving and put-away. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Pick, pack and label orders accurately from a pick list. • Load and unload trucks safely. • Handle work involving carrier rates with care and follow safety rules. • Count stock, report shortages and keep aisles clear. • Receive deliveries and check them against paperwork. What we are looking for • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. • Attention to detail and steady pace. • Willingness to follow safety procedures. Nice to have • Forklift certification. • Experience with a handheld scanner. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
