About

Built for the week after income changes

The world's community for the unemployed. Together, We Rise.

Mission

When pay drops or disappears, people need a ranked next step, official links, and a way to finish forms, not hustle tips or a louder feed.

WUUUH builds household membership for income change: a ranked next step, help finishing the paperwork, the finish-line tools when you're ready to apply, message, track cases or post aid, and a community hall that sits beside the household core.

Name & motto

WUUUH stands for World's Universal Union of Unemployed Humans.

World's Universal Union of Unemployed Humans. The world's community for the unemployed. Together, We Rise.

The motto isn't marketing fluff. It's the bar for how we write product, pricing, and partner copy.

Who it is for

Adults facing layoff, reduced hours, unstable self-employed income, return-to-work paperwork, or the week before a feared cut.

Partners and roommates who need the same finish-line tools under one roof (Household).

Neighbors who want to browse mutual aid, jobs, and guides without inventing a crisis story first.

How WUUUH works

1. Tell us what changed: layoff, hours cut, self-employed drop, preparing, or returning to work. You get a ranked action plan with one clear next step.

2. Finish the hard parts: checklists, official assistance links and deadlines, then the finish-line tools - cases, vault, mentors, messaging and mutual-aid posting.

3. Protect household runway: cash-flow math from numbers you enter, renewal alerts, and cancel/negotiate drafts you approve before anything sends.

Help Me Now is the fast path when you're overwhelmed: answer one urgent question and go straight to the most relevant next step.

Why membership is not optional

WUUUH has no free tier. It is a membership you hold the way you hold AAA, a warehouse club card or a health plan: it is there before the emergency, not after. Holding it is the point - the layoff letter, the COBRA election and the missed rent all land inside the first 72 hours.

Individual ($19/mo) covers one adult: Help Me Now, the action plan, cash-flow runway, checklists, cases, vault, applications, DMs, mentors, mutual-aid posting and specialist booking.

Household ($34/mo) includes everything in Individual for up to five adults, plus shared cash-flow & deadlines, private vault invites, a shared member card, mutual-aid priority and higher limits, more specialist and escalation slots, dual-adult Help Me Now, household group-buy interest, and a shared value statement.

You can switch or cancel from Manage membership at any time.

Mutual aid & community

The mutual-aid request list is public so people can see real community asks. Opening a request, offering help, or posting your own needs sign-in. Contact details stay inside the product.

Jobs, forum, mentors, and the toolkit sit next to the household tools. It's still the union hall for people between jobs.

Partners & sponsors

Stores, employers, mentors, and benefit partners can publish discounts or fund seats. Member redemption uses a digital membership card (codes look like WUH-XXXXXXXX).

Bridge loans and insurance are live application queues for licensed partners. WUUUH does not lend, underwrite, or issue policies.

What we are not

Not a lender, bank, or benefits agency. We do not approve unemployment, SNAP, or any government benefit, and nothing here tells you that you were approved when you were not.

Not a charity, a labor union in the legal sense, or a government body. WUUUH is a membership community and a set of tools. Mutual aid happens between members who choose to help each other. We host it; we don't hand it out.

Not a substitute for licensed legal, tax, immigration, or financial advice. Specialist bookings are handoffs to partners, not advice from WUUUH. We link to official sources and help you organize; the decision and the application are always yours.

Not a hustle feed. We don't invent partner deals or claim savings we can't attribute.

How we talk about people

You won't find a count of members, a total of aid, or a badge on this site that turns a person into a statistic. Numbers like that look impressive, but nobody outside can check them, and a number you can't check is a number somebody can accuse you of inventing. We'd rather say what we're trying to do than how much we claim to have done.

The language here matters more than it sounds. You are not a case, a claimant, a burden, or a statistic. You are a member whose income changed, which is a thing that happens to most people at some point, and which says nothing at all about your character.

That's also why asking is designed to be ordinary. You don't have to prove hardship, perform a story, or be at the end of your rope to use any of this. Runway math, an action plan, a benefits screen and a job listing are all useful before things are desperate, and using them early is the point.

And when help does move between members, we make it quiet. Visible aid can dent the confidence of the person receiving it; support that doesn't announce itself tends to do more good over a longer stretch. So we keep the ask bookable, the offer specific, and the contact details private.

Trust & privacy

You enter the numbers that drive runway math. There's no forced bank login. The document vault is for papers you'll need again; private docs stay private unless you explicitly grant access on Household.

Plan changes and cancelling are self-serve from Manage membership. Gift membership is available so someone else can cover your membership when you can't.
