Warehouse Associate - receiving and put-away (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Birmingham design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Warehouse Associate to take on receiving and put-away. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Count stock, report shortages and keep aisles clear. • Load and unload trucks safely. • Handle work involving route schedules with care and follow safety rules. • Pick, pack and label orders accurately from a pick list. • Receive deliveries and check them against paperwork. What we are looking for • Willingness to follow safety procedures. • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. • Attention to detail and steady pace. Nice to have • Experience with a handheld scanner. • Forklift certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
