Warehouse Associate - order picking and packing (San Jose, CA)

Northwind West Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of San Jose, and we need a Warehouse Associate to lead our order picking and packing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Load and unload trucks safely. • Handle work involving carrier rates with care and follow safety rules. • Pick, pack and label orders accurately from a pick list. • Count stock, report shortages and keep aisles clear. • Receive deliveries and check them against paperwork. What we are looking for • Attention to detail and steady pace. • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. • Willingness to follow safety procedures. Nice to have • Experience with a handheld scanner. • Forklift certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
