Warehouse Associate - order picking and packing (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood North Early Learning Group is an early-learning provider in Oakland. We are hiring a Warehouse Associate to take on order picking and packing. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Pick, pack and label orders accurately from a pick list. • Receive deliveries and check them against paperwork. • Count stock, report shortages and keep aisles clear. • Handle work involving classroom supplies with care and follow safety rules. • Load and unload trucks safely. What we are looking for • Attention to detail and steady pace. • Willingness to follow safety procedures. • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Nice to have • Forklift certification. • Experience with a handheld scanner. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
