Warehouse Associate - order picking and packing (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Junction Markets is a Hartford retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Warehouse Associate to lead our order picking and packing. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Count stock, report shortages and keep aisles clear. • Pick, pack and label orders accurately from a pick list. • Handle work involving supplier deliveries with care and follow safety rules. • Load and unload trucks safely. • Receive deliveries and check them against paperwork. What we are looking for • Willingness to follow safety procedures. • Attention to detail and steady pace. • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Nice to have • Forklift certification. • Experience with a handheld scanner. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
