UX Designer - research and testing (Toledo, OH)

Ironwood Pine Community Partners Group is a Toledo charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a large organisation of about 614 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
