UX Designer - research and testing (Tampa, FL)

We are growing our team at Summit Haven Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around learning materials that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in learning materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
