UX Designer - research and testing (Spokane, WA)

Lumen Summit Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Spokane area. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around attendance records that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in attendance records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
