UX Designer - research and testing (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Meadow Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
