UX Designer - research and testing (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Field Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
