UX Designer - research and testing (San Jose, CA)

Greenridge Loom Medical designs and makes medical devices in San Jose, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around regulatory submissions that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
