UX Designer - research and testing (San Jose, CA)

Ironwood Medical is a San Jose company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around clinical evaluations that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in clinical evaluations. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
