UX Designer - research and testing (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Pike Medical and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Design for tasks around complaint handling that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in complaint handling. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
