UX Designer - research and testing (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Sparrow Arts Center Partners is a cultural organisation in San Diego presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 145 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
