UX Designer - research and testing (San Diego, CA)

Summit Rook Press produces print and digital publications in San Diego. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in print quotes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
