UX Designer - research and testing (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Bright Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in premium billing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
