UX Designer - research and testing (Sacramento, CA)

Silverline Rook Community Partners is a nonprofit in Sacramento supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
