UX Designer - research and testing (Sacramento, CA)

Cedar Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Sacramento. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in claims. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
