UX Designer - research and testing (Richmond, VA)

Lumen Iron Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Richmond, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around policy renewals that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in policy renewals. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
