UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Amberfield Meridian Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Honolulu. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
