UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Fernwood River Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
