UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Nova Ember Community Partners runs community programmes across St. Louis. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
