UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Bridge Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ticketing. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
