UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Corner Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
