UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Redstone North Community Partners is a nonprofit in Fresno supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
