UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Nova Nest Press Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
