UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Harborlight North Financial Group provides savings, lending and payment services from Rochester, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around regulatory reports that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in regulatory reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
