UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bright Cedar Banking Services is a regional lender in Boston with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around deposit accounts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
