UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Rivermark Maple Financial is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around loan applications that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in loan applications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
