UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Wilder Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around premium billing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
