UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Harborlight Summit Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Minneapolis. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
