UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Northwind Fern Arts Center Group is an arts centre in San Diego with a full calendar of events, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
