UX Designer - research and testing (remote)
Westbrook Forge Transit Planning · Remote · full time
Westbrook Forge Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Chicago design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing.
You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management.
What you will do
• Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails.
• Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
What we are looking for
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in route schedules.
Working arrangement
• Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule.
• Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
