UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bright Ivory Transit Planning · Remote · full time

Bright Ivory Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Indianapolis working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in route schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
