UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Rook Press Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in proofing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
