UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Rivermark Willow Medical designs and makes medical devices in Charleston. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around production lots that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in production lots. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
