UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Cedar Nest Community Partners Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
