UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Corner Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
