UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bright Wilder Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Detroit, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
