UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bright Forge Arts Center is an arts centre in Richmond with a full calendar of events, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
