UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Fernwood Pine Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
