UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Summit Mill Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Charlotte design routes and schedules, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 192 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
