UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Beacon Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in press runs. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
