UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bluepeak Sparrow Transit Planning Partners helps transport agencies around Reno design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a large organisation of about 803 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
