UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Redstone Nest Community Partners is a nonprofit in Detroit supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in grant reporting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
