UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Harborlight Kestrel Markets is a Providence retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
