UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Fernwood Corner Insurance Group is an insurance company in Charlotte with claims and service teams. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around customer complaints that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in customer complaints. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
