UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bluepeak Beacon Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Portland plant, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around customer orders that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in customer orders. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
