UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Redstone Juniper Transit Planning · Remote · contract

Redstone Juniper Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
